Diabetes Symptoms

All too often we get sick but ignore the symptoms we may be
feeling, shrugging them off to a cold, stress from work, or
just not feeling well.


There are certain symptoms that shouldn’t be ignored if
they develop. These symptoms could lead to blindness,
amputation of limbs, coma or even death.

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes often come on suddenly and are
severely dramatic. The extra stress of diabetes can lead to
something called diabetic ketoacidosis.

Symptoms of ketoacidosis may include nausea and vomiting,
which may also lead to dehydration and serious problems
with the blood levels of potassium. This could lead to a
diabetic coma and ultimately death.

Other symptoms of diabetes may include extreme fatigue. We

fatigue than normal.

People with diabetes also experience unexplained weight
loss. This is because they are unable to process many of
the calories they consume. Losing sugar and water in the
urine also contributes to the weight loss.

Extreme thirst is another symptom of diabetes. Diabetes
develops high blood sugar levels and the body tries to
compensate by diluting the blood, which translates to our
brain that we are thirsty.

With this is also excessive urination. It is another way
our bodies have of getting rid of the extra sugar in our
system. But this can also lead to dehydration.

One of the hardest symptoms to deal with is poor wound
healing. Wounds heal slowly, if at all when the carrier has
diabetes. This along with infections that are not easily
remedied can attribute to ulcers and loss of limbs.

is also simply known as diabetes. It is
the disease characterized by a malfunctioning metabolism
and a high blood sugar level.


The result can be low levels of insulin or abnormal insulin
resistance. This mixed with inadequate levels of insulin
secretion results in diabetes.

Symptoms of diabetes mellitus include increased urine
production, excessive thirst, extreme fatigue, and
excessive thirst and weight loss. These symptoms though may
not be present in those people with only mildly elevated
sugar levels.

from diabetes could include loss of limps such as arms,

is also known as juvenile diabetes,

which means the bodies own defense system attacks the
body’s tissues or organs.

In the last 50 years the number of juvenile diabetes had

rise in type 1 diabetes in children. It is believed that a

triggers juvenile diabetes. But the majority of children
don’t have a family history of diabetes.

The symptoms for juvenile diabetes are the same as in
adults. Thirst, weight loss, fatigue, frequent urination is
typical, but diabetes in children can also increase stomach
pains, headaches and behavior problems.

Doctors should consider the possibility of diabetes in
children who have unexplained stomach pains for a few
weeks, along with the typical symptoms.

symptoms you should schedule them for a thorough
examination and tell your doctor what you suspect your

With obesity levels being at an all time high, the epidemic
of type 2 diabetes is growing at an alarming rate, and will
only get worse.


Between 2005 and 2007, the diagnosis of diabetes went from
4.5 percent of Americans to an alarming 6.5 percent. In
just two years!

Overall, 15 million Americans have been diagnosed and

type 2 diabetes is not put under control.

We are a gluttonous society and ultimately it is affecting
how we live and how long we live.

And unfortunately, the diabetes epidemic is not just a US
problem. It is spreading worldwide with epidemic reports in
Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

It is estimated that by 2020, the number of diabetics
worldwide will rise to 400 million. And diabetes is now
affecting more of the young and middle-aged population in
developing countries between the ages of 40 and 59.

gestational diabetes. People who have type 1 are known as
insulin-dependent.

This is an autoimmune disease where the body’s natural
system is fighting against another part of the body. In the
case of type 1 diabetes, the system attacks the insulin
producing cells and destroys them.

Therefore the pancreas can produce little to no insulin.
These people are in need of daily injections of insulin to
live. Five to ten percent of diabetes cases are type 1 in

What New Therapies for Treatment of Congestive Heart Failure?

Heart disease is one of the deadliest killers in the world to date. Congestive heart failure, a condition found secondary to many major cardiac diseases, possesses its own high mortality rate. Why Worry?

Most of us get the occasional stomach-churning bout of worry but just because we all get butterflies doesn’t mean worrying is a healthy habit - it isn’t! When you worry, you are living in a future world that may not ever happen. Also, just because you don’t know a future outcome it doesn’t mean it’s going to be negative.
Worry can motivate you to do things like warning your children not to talk to strangers or double-checking directions to get somewhere- these reactions are pretty normal. Worry only becomes ineffective when, for example, you are still contemplating getting lost even though you have mapped out your route and printed out the directions. In other words you have taken steps to insure a positive outcome yet you still spend time and energy on expecting a negative result.
There are ways to reduce how much you worry about things. It takes practice but what it boils down to is changing how you think about the world and really believing that tomorrow is going to bring something great not something awful.
Here are a few of the most common ways in which we worry along with simple advice to help put worry behind you.
1. Seeking constant reassurance
There is no harm in getting a second opinion about something but asking for it repeatedly is not useful. This is because it’s easy to second-guess any answer you get especially if you doubt yourself to begin with. They reply (hopefully!!) “Of course I find you attractive” but you’re not convinced so you ask them again…and again…and again…

There are a few different types of stress, depending on what you are stressed about. You could be stress about, work, money, or just any situation like that. There are many ways to handle things before you stress yourself out over it. Even if you worry a little bit about something, it could lead to stress. Then stress could lead to worse things than that.

Stress is something that you would want to avoid as much as possible. It could lead to health risks, craziness, being put in the hospital, being ‘mean to people’, and other things related to that. Thinking positive will reduce the risk of being stressed out. Thinking negative is what causes you to lead to being stressed out. Worrying about things is also a leading cause of stress. Therefore, as long as you think positive you should be able to sit back, and enjoy life with it being stress free.

You could get so stress out, and not bother talking to some one about it could cause you to be mean. Doing this could cause you to lose your friends. Then once you would lose your friends, it would make you have even more stress than what it was before.
Stress could definitely lead to a lot of different things that could make the stress problem worse. Stress could lead to many bad things that could change your life. It could lead to ruining your marriage to losing your children, if you go crazy. Stress could get to the point that it could hurt you yourself. It could lead to hair loss, nerve problems, head problems, and even worse than that. The best thing for you to do is stop the stress problem before it leads to something severe. Life can be very fun, and enjoyable without stress.

Our sight is our primary interaction with the world around us and most of us take it for granted. We rarely stop to think about colour means to us and how it can affect us. Light is a form of energy and all energy acts on the matter that it comes into contact with. What we see as colour is the brain’s way of recognizing the different energy qualities of light.
We tend to think of colour as existing on surfaces, but the colour of an object is determined by what happens to the light that hits it. The colour we see, very often, is exactly what the object is not.
Every frequency of visible light, each colour, creates changes in us at all levels, physically, emotionally and mentally. Different cultures have given different attributes and meanings to colour, but on a biological level we all react in the same way.
Colour is not superficial; it shows us the energetic reality around us.
Everything under the sun is affected by colour. Plants, animals, bacteria, chemical reactions, all show changes of behaviour when exposed to different colours. It is also a subconscious language that we use instinctively in very area of our lives.
Learning to recognise and use colour with awareness can bring positive changes into our lives. Each colour has a set of clearly defined meanings and influences which can help us understand the world around us and our behaviour.
These qualities can also be used to create particular impressions on others. A subtle message can be sent with colour much more effectively than with words.
RED
Red is the colour with the longest wavelength. It is the nearest visible light to infra-red in the electromagnetic (energy) spectrum. It maintains close connections with heat and warmth. Even rocks become red when they are heated sufficiently – this is evident when volcanoes erupt and lava pours out onto the earth’s surface. Red makes us wary as we connect it with heat and potential danger of burning.
Too much heat and red burns, but at the right level it gives us comfort and supports our lives. Being the colour of blood, red has symbolic links with life and living. Spilling or losing blood brings illness or death.
If you want to increase your body’s ability to absorb iron wear red, eat red foods or surround yourself with red. This is because iron is the metal that is responsible for the colour of haemoglobin in the blood. The presence of haemoglobin allows the blood to absorb oxygen in the lungs and to transport that life-giving oxygen to the body’s cells.
Physical activity and the energy that supports it also have a red vibration. If speed, danger, daring or courage are involved the red quality of the activity increases – people like stunt men, racing car drivers or mountaineers all have “red” careers.
Using Red
If you want to come across as a bold and dynamic person, wear a red scarf or a tie. This is especially effective if you are going to an event where your confidence needs a boost e.g. a presentation or an interview. It will also help you feel less nervous about meeting new people.

Red is a very powerful colour and should be avoided if you suffer from high blood pressure, heart problems, have a quick temper or are feeling angry as it will over-stimulate you.
