How To Get Rid Of Sweaty Armpit?

View PDF Print View

Do you wish to learn how to get rid of sweaty armpit using natural homemade herbal remedy? Most people dread body odor and are looking for ways on how to deal with this. It can happen to anyone and is not only the bane of those who sweat a lot and do not practice proper hygiene. However, no matter what you do, there are other factors that could make you more susceptible to body odor.

There are several ways to combat the problem, however, hygiene does play an important role. Bathing regularly is crucial. Use a soap that neutralizes germs and bacteria in the armpits.

An antiperspirant-deodorant may be applied to do this too and to leave a nice smell. Some deodorants now are available in natural versions that are not harmful to the environment or to your skin. Normal deodorants may clog the pores, causing skin conditions such as pimples and acne.

However, there are also many natural remedies that you could try out. Rubbing a fresh slice of lemon in the armpit may be beneficial. This will kill the bacteria from the armpit. You may also apply apple cider vinegar using balls of cotton wool. Baking soda can also be applied with a soft brush. These natural products lower the pH level which makes the area inhospitable for bacteria that like warm and moist spots.

Deodorant manufacturers use aluminum chloride, the crystal form of alum. In its natural form, aluminum chloride can stop the armpits from becoming sweaty. It is available from most pharmacies and can be applied directly to the skin after a shower or bath. Be sure to pick out smooth crystals as those with jagged edges may irritate your skin.

Shaving the hair under your arms regularly will help to prevent the build up of bacteria that lead to foul odors and could be another answer. I personally used a sweating home remedy About the Author

'American Idol' Reject Sues Ian Bernardo $ 300 Million To Alleged Anti-gay ...

This rejection is hoping he can turn his "American Idol" crash into a pile of money.

Ian Bernardo, 30, who precipitated the infamous scene in search of talent 'S 2010 final now claims producers encouraged the waterfall and discrimination against him.

He 's looking for 300 million dollars in a complaint filed with the New York State Division of Human Rights alleging the "Idol" set "has been imbued with discriminatory intimidation, ridicule, insults and hostile and offensive comments. "

Bernardo, who is openly gay, has auditioned for the show in 2007 and became a sensation after it toppled on the host Simon Cowell.

Producers invited him back for last season 's end - it thenpelted homophobic epithets and asked inappropriate questions about her sexuality.

"I became a paid employee when they asked me to come back. It was only after I started hearing," Why don 'you act more gay? "Bernardo told the Daily News Tuesday.

"They encouraged me to be totally weird, they wanted to disguise myself and kept using anti-gay connections tell me how to behave."

Bernardo, 29, said producers tacitly gave the green light to pick up comedian Dane Cook's microphone during the May 26 final.

"They said it was live TV and everything was OK as I don t curse '," he said. "It was a big wink-wink, so I did everything I thought I should do."

Since the final, Bernardo said he suffered panic attacks and can 't live a normal life.

Representatives of "American Idol" did not return a call for comment.

The ovaries do not release eggs and produce very low levels of hormones when a woman enters menopause.

Ovarian cancer is a form of cancer in which cancerous cells develop in different parts of the ovary. ovarian cancer refers to a group of different tumors that grow in different tissue types present in the ovary. Ovarian cancer has been reported that the seventh most common cancer among women. Most women with cancer epithelial cells in which cancer affects the outer surface of the ovary.

The chances of recovery and survival are more if the cancer is diagnosed at an early stage. But it is very difficult to diagnose ovarian cancer at an early stage. Because most of the symptoms of ovarian cancer are nonspecific and may be confused with symptoms of other digestive disorders. One woman suffering from ovarian cancer will first be detected with another medical condition until the symptoms worsened and she finally realizes that she has cancer of the ovary. The symptoms of digestive disorders come and go, but the symptoms of ovarian cancer are consistent and worsen with time. Severe symptoms reported at an advanced stage include:

For surgery, the surgeon will make a long incision in the abdomen. This surgery is called laparotomy. During this procedure, the surgeon may decide to withdraw:

    • Fallopian tubes

The surgeon uses different procedures and try to remove the cancerous cells the body as possible. This process is known as "debulking". Women who have been able to diagnose cancer at stage one can argue with the surgeon the extent of surgery they want to go. Some women may want to fall pregnant in the future and will therefore opt for one ovary removed.

The recovery process after surgery can take between three to five weeks. There will be pain and discomfort for several days. This pain could be reduced by drugs. Your doctor will be able to prescribe medications that will help reduce pain. You may have to spend 5 to 10 days in hospital before they can resume normal day to day activities.

Chiropractic physicians are specialists who deal with problems related to the musculoskeletal system, and treat the physical problems misalignments or injuries cause. The chiropractic approach is different, and seeks to remedy the cause of pain rather than simply treating the symptoms with medications. It relies on using the recuperative abilities of the body itself, but if necessary a chiropractor can make a referral to another physician. For those in the southern United States suffering chronic skeletal issues and related pain, seeing a chiropractor Mobile, Alabama headquartered may be a source of relief.

People suffering from pain are used to visiting the doctor, and then being prescribed a medication that treats that pain. The underlying causes of the pain may be ignored. The doctor of chiropractic approaches pain from a holistic point of view. This method includes exploring a patient's diet and exercise habits, genetic makeup, overall environment and lifestyle. Most of the time they don't simply prescribe pain pills, but try to get to the root cause of chronic discomfort.

This specialized approach can work with several types of pain. At one time or another, we all have an aching back. Some individuals deal with chronic back pain for years, or their entire lives, unable to enjoy the normal activities of life. Spinal misalignments are a chiropractic specialty, and treatment may include spinal manipulation to relieve this condition and associated nerve irritation. Heat and massage treatments are also part of this therapy.

Another nearly universal malady is headaches. Some people suffer them on a regular basis. Causes can include the stress and tension of daily problems, which results in tightness and stiffness of muscles in the back, neck or face. A chiropractor probably won't simply write a pain prescription, but will try to pinpoint the actual cause of the pain, and then devise an appropriate therapy.

Growing older can mean unpleasant joint stiffness and pain, often as the result of arthritis. The several types of arthritic inflammation people experience should be first evaluated About the Author

Ever wonder what that constant ringing in your ears is? Its called tinnitus and it affects the daily lives of thousands of people. In my case, I had tinnitus for many years but didn't realize it since it happened over a long period of time. Therefore, I didn't even look for a tinnitus remedy.

Medications, stress, long exposure to loud noises, and allergies are some of the causes of tinnitus and can eventually cause hearing loss.

If you go to a place that has complete silence, you can actually test to see if you have this condition. Hear any ringing? If you do and it doesn't stop, then you may have a more serious problem than if it were the typical ringing most everyone gets from time to time.

Tinnitus can actually keep you up at night which will greatly impact your quality of life.

A doctor may prescribe medication or pill to help you with your condition. Surgery is another option you can try. There are downsides to this option since any surgery is invasive. You should make this option a last resort.

A great option is to try tinnitus homeopathic remedies. They can be very effective, cost considerably less than other options and, the best part, there are no severe side effects since you would be using natural herbs and vitamins. And, since they are natural, they can bring down the ringing sensation gently. This is important because you don't want to make matters worse than they already are.

Try to make sure to consider more than just one option when you are researching a remedy for tinnitus. Just because one method or treatment works for someone else, doesn't mean that same treatment will work for you. You have to find your own treatment that will be effective. It may take a while but it will be worth it in the end.

Roundup | Organic Lawn Fertilizer: Best Alternative Against Non Eco Friendly Roundup Weed Killer

View PDF Print View

When the particular weed killer Roundup was launched in the 1970s, it proved it could eliminate almost any plant while still being safer than a number of other herbicides, plus it allowed farmers to quit harsher chemicals and reduce tilling that can promote erosion The situation is the worst in the South, in which a number of farmers now walk fields using hoes, killing weeds in a way their great-grandfathers were very happy leave behind.

St. Louis-based Monsanto maintains the resistance is often overstated, observing that a lot of weeds present no sign of immunity. "We think that glyphosate will remain a significant tool inside the farmers' collection," Monsanto spokesperson John Combest said. The company has started out paying cotton farmers $12 an acre to pay for the price of other herbicides to use alongside Roundup to improve its effectiveness. The popularity has proved some food protection groups' notion that biotechnology will not reduce the use of chemicals over time."That is getting reversed," said Bill Freese, a chemist with the Washington, D.C.-based Center For Food Safety, that promotes organic agriculture. "They are going to considerably enhance use of those chemical compounds, and that is not so great. "The first weeds within the U.S. that survived Roundup were observed about a decade ago in Delaware.

"That's being reversed," said Bill Freese, a chemist with the Washington, D.C.-based Center For Food Safety, which endorses organic farming. "They are going to significantly maximize utilization of those chemicals, and that's bad news." The first weeds inside the U.S. which lived through Roundup were discovered about 10 years ago in Delaware. Farming experts said the usage of other chemicals has already been sneaking up. Monsanto and other companies are developing new seeds designed to withstand older herbicides such as dicamba and 2,4-D, a weed killer formulated in the second world war and an element in Agent Orange, that was used to destroy rainforest foliage in the course of the Vietnam War and is blamed for health issues among veterans.

Aloe | Farmville - Walkthrough

Farmville Walkthrough and Guide by FreyashawkCreated on 13 July 2010Last updated on 14 JulyFor details on how to search for specific information in any of my Guides usingthe most popular web browsers, please visit: Introduction Farmville is one of many Farming Simulation games on Facebook but possibly isthe most popular. Celebrating its first year Anniversary, it has developedenormously since its inception. As an online game, new options are added andLimited Edition items are subtracted from the game constantly. A notationusually appears in the Market in the description of any Limited Edition itemto let you know how much longer it will be available. Some Limited EditionItems have been included in this Guide for reference purposes even if notcurrently available. Initial Walkthrough You can enter into the World of Farmville in one of two fashions. You eithercan go directly to the Game and allow the Application to run or you canrespond to a Request from another Player to become his/her Neighbour. Inresponding, the Application will ask for permission to run. You then will betaken to your Farm and given a little Tutorial. In terms of actual farming, the options are very simple at the start.. Youarrive in Farmville with 200 Coins and 5 Farmville dollars with six tilledplots. One plot is filled with Eggplant and another with Strawberries readyto be harvested. Strawberry and Eggplant in two other plots are 50% grown. It costs 15 Coins to till one square. You will obtain 35 Coins when youharvest the Strawberries and 88 Coins when you harvest the Eggplant. You thenwill have a total of 323 Coins. After plowing the two squares that become fallow land after harvest, you willhave 293 Coins. You now should go to the Market to purchase four Seeds toplant in your four remaining tilled squares.Your choices at Level 1 are: Strawberries, Eggplant, Wheat, Soybeans andPeanuts. If you are determined to increase your Levels and unlock more Seedtypes as quickly as possible, you may choose Strawberries as the fastestgrowing Crop available at the initial Level. It takes only 4 hours to mature, selling for 35 Coins and giving you 1 XP. The price of a Strawberry Seed is10 Coins. You therefore have more than sufficient money to plant Strawberriesin four squares. In order to gain more Experience immediately, you may opt to till more squaresbefore you even go to Market.Your first objective obviously is to harvest the Eggplant. You then shouldtill a few more plots and go to the Market to buy seeds. There is an advantage if you spend all of your Coins in your first farmingeffort as, when you run out of Coins, the game will give you a 'first-timeuser' bonus of 300 Coins as well as allowing you to reach at least Level 3 inyour first session. In the lower right corner of your Farmville screen, you will see six boxes withicons. At the outset, these six boxes represent fewer options than they willas your Level increases. The first box is an arrow and this represents a multi-tool. It is the one thatyou use to move items or harvest Crops and other items, including Trees,Animals and Animal Barns that are 'ready'. As your Levels increase and moreoptions are unlocked, you will be able to access a variety of choices here, including Multi-Tool, Move Tool and Recycle. The second icon is a hoe, and obviously this is the tool to use in order totill plots on your field. The hoe must be used to create NEW squares oftilled soil, but you can use the multi-tool to re-till existing plots afterharvest. When your Levels have increased, this option will be expanded toinclude Tractors and other Mechanised Ploughing objects. The third icon represents a delete tool. You can delete tilled ground if youwish to put it to a different use. Items on the other hand should be soldinstead of deleted if possible. When you reach Level 20 and unlock the Co-OpOption, the Delete Tool will be moved to the first Box and the third box willbe designated for Co-Op Farming. The fourth icon depicts a show ribbon and this is where your Awards will bedisplayed. When you reach Level 10, you will unlock Collections and this boxwill be shared between your Awards/Ribbons and your Collections. More ofthat later. The fifth icon is the Market where you purchase items, including Seeds, Trees,Animals, Buildings, Decorations, Upgrades to your Farm and Vehicles. The sixth and final box is your Inventory Gift Box, where Gifts that have beensent to you are kept until you either use or sell them. The goals of the game itself are to generate more players and to persuade themto spend real money on virtual items. The goals of a player are to obtain asmany upgrades and items as possible and preferably to do so without beingforced to spend real money. The creators of any of these online games try tostrike a happy balance between the two conflicting goals by allowing you tosend and receive free gifts as well as rewarding you for your accomplishmentson your farm. If you are going to spend real money on the game, do sojudiciously by buying items that you cannot gain through other methods. The greatest temptation to invest real money in the game probably is theavailability of the Limited Edition items. These can be extremely attractiveand they are marketed aggressively. Players who otherwise might not beinspired to pay $10.00 to Zynga to purchase a virtual building or decorationmay do so in a sort of desperation when told that only a few hours remainbefore the Item no longer will be available. The Gift Option is at the very centre of any Facebook Game. It is theincentive that draws new players into the game and keeps existing playersinterested. In Farmville, as in most of the Games on Facebook, every playerostensibly has the option to send one Gift per Day to as many other Players orFriends as he/she wishes. In the case of Farmville, you actually may be ableto send a Gift every three Hours. Another section of this Guide deals withGifts in some detail. Time Limits for Crops Farming in Farmville and other Facebook Farming Simulation Games istime-specific where Crops are concerned. Unlike Harvest Moon farming, Cropsin Farmville are not season-specific, but there is a limited amount of timethat they can be expected to survive once they are ready for harvest. Thereis a Limited Item in the form of the 'Unwither Ring' that when placed, willprevent your Crops from withering but the cost of this Limited Item is 250Farm Cash, the equivalent of $40.00 and as a Limited Item, it is offered onlya few Days before it disappears from the Menu at the Market. Although you maylose quite a few 'valuable' Crops in Farmville without the Unwither Ring whenyou are unable to log into Facebook to play the game, the cost of the item israther steep. I certainly could not afford one myself. As previously indicated, Farming is not season-specific at all and some Cropsare available on a permanent basis. Others are associated with specialLimited Edition Themes and will be removed from the Market when the timeperiod given to the Theme expires. Currency in Farmville An explanation of currency in general in Farmville and the prices at the Marketmay be useful at this point. There are two kinds of currency in the form ofFarm Cash and Coins. Both can be earned through your actions in the gameitself, but it is easier to earn Coins than Farm Cash. You will earn Coins each time you harvest a Crop, Fruit Tree or Ranch Product. Farm Cash is earned ordinarily only when your Level increases. You will earn1 Farm Cash for each increase in your experience Level. There are items at the Market that can be purchased solely with Farm Cash. Insome cases, especially if the Item is Farm-related, such as a StorageBuilding, the same item will be offered with a price in Farm Cash and a pricein Coins but this is not often the case in Farmville and seldom the case whereluxury items are concerned. Most of the Limited Edition Buildings and Decorations can be purchased solelywith Farm Cash. It is Farm Cash that provides a method for Zynga to make apretty profit from their Free Game. Likewise, some of the Rare Animals can bepurchased solely with Farm Cash. Some farm buildings can be purchased in skeletal form for a specific number ofCoins or as finished buildings with Farm Cash. When purchased in skeletalform, you will be given a specific list of items that you must obtain in setquantities in order to construct the building. For example, there are a number of buildings that can be used for storage ofitems as well as other buildings. At present, there is a Limited Japanesecollection at the Market that includes a Japanese Barn. You can buy theskeletal version of this Bar or the finished building. The prices are asfollows:Japanese BarnLimitedUnfinishedTime Left: 9 DaysCost: 5000 XP Gain: 50Sell for 250 Coins**This is the price you would obtain if you sold the Japanese Barn in itsoriginal unfinished form.Japanese BarnLimitedTime Left: 9 DaysCost: 50 Farm CashCapacity: 20 itemsSell for 6000 CoinsNote that the Japanese Barn as a Limited Edition item no longer will beavailable in the near future. It is used simply as an example of a dualoffering. A Note about Storage At the start of the game, you will not have an option to store items, apartfrom the items that NEVER have been removed from your Gift Box. Once youchoose to 'Use' any Item, you will be unable to replace it in the Gift Box. You therefore should be careful not to 'Use' items that cannot be placed onyour Farm. For example, although the Horse that you will be given as a Reward by Farmvillefairly early in the game can be placed on your Farm even if you do not own aStable, the Wandering Stallion cannot be accepted if you do not have a Stableto house him. A Stable in Farmville is one of the Buildings that must bepurchased in skeletal form and then built. Incidentally, there is an Award given by Farmville when you have a specificnumber of 'unique' items in your Gift Box. As one of the objects of the gameis completion of all Goals such as Ribbons, you may wish to leave items thatyou do not need desperately in your Gift Box until you have won the Ribbon. Ranch Animals In Farmville, unlike Farm Town, another Facebook farming simulation game, youcan harvest Ranch Products from Animals without housing them. You thereforecan place any number of Cows, Sheep and Chickens and other Ranch Animals onyour Farm without purchasing a Barn or Chicken Coop. There are advantages tothe purchase of Ranch buildings, however. Chickens and Chicken Coop As far as a Chicken Coop is concerned, each Farm is limited to a single Coopbut the purchase is very straightforward. The price is:Chicken CoopCost: 5000 CoinsHarvest in 1 DayXP Gain: 50Sell for 250 CoinsChickens are one of the items that can be sent to Facebook Friends andFarmville Neighbours as a Free Gift. You are limited in the number of Giftsthat you can send to a single individual in the course of one day. As a rule, you can send only one item to any person each day but there are someexceptions. Whether they are true exceptions or glitches are unknown but itoften is possible to Accept a Gift and then send a Thank You Gift to anindividual even if you previously sent him/her an item on the same day.As soon as you can afford to do so, you should purchase a Chicken Coop. 20Chickens can be housed in a Coop, but that is not the primary reason why youshould have one. After all, you could allow your Chickens to roam freelythroughout the Farm. The reason why you should invest in a Coop is linked toyour Neighbours and their capacity to visit you to help you on your Farm.Note that you can purchase and own only one Chicken Coop but there is an optionto expand it.The description of the Chicken Coop includes information about Mystery Eggs:'Every now and then your chickens will lay Mystery Eggs. The more Chickensyou have in your Coop, the more likely you are to find Mystery Eggs when youcollect Eggs from your Coop everyday!More Chickens of a particular colour means a higher chance of getting thatColour of Mystery Egg!Be sure to check for Mystery Eggs every day!'A Neighbour who feeds your Chickens during a visit to your Farm may be able tofind a Mystery Egg while doing so. This in no way will lessen your ownchances of finding a Mystery Egg when the Coop is ready for harvest. Feeding a Neighbour's Chickens Once each day, a Neighbour can visit and expect to obtain an option tofertilise your Field. Five bags of Fertiliser will appear on the left side ofyour screen. Click on a tilled square to fertilise it. When you have usedall five of the bags, you may receive an option to feed your Neighbour'sChickens if he/she has a Chicken Coop. A bag of Chicken Feed will appear inthe top left corner of your screen. When you click on it, the game willscroll to the location of the Chicken Coop.Although you earn Coins when you help neighbours and sometimes ribbons andawards as well, one of the best reward potentially is an item known as aMystery Egg. If, while feeding a Neighbour's Chickens, you find a MysteryEgg, it will be sent to your Gift Box. When you find it there, choose theoption to 'Use' it. You then will be able to place it on your field in thesame manner as you place any item. Click on it then to 'Open it'. MysteryEggs can hatch Chickens, XP or Coins. They can hatch unusual and valuableChickens apart from the ordinary White Chicken that you can receive or send asa Gift. The Need for Neighbours Facebook was created for global social interactions and all Facebook games arecreated to promote this. Whenever you play any game on Facebook, you will beprompted again and again to invite friends to join you or, in the case of anyFarming Simulation game, to become one of your Neighbours.Neighbours can make a significant difference in the quality and even substanceof the game. In Farmville, there are a number of options that will beunlocked only if you manage to obtain a specific number of Neighbours. Thereis nothing particularly sinister in this, although I would urge gamers not tospam all of their friends by inviting them to play Farmville. Try to sendinvitations only to friends that you believe actually might enjoy the game.Although you can play Farmville in isolation, you will have more fun and awider variety of experiences if you have Neighbours. You can invite anyFacebook Friend to become your Neighbour and indeed, there always is an optionto invite any Friend to participate in any Facebook game. Although I dearlywould love to have more Neighbours, I personally am reluctant to bombard'Friends' with invitations to join me in games on Facebook unless I feel theywould enjoy the experience. I do have Friends who never would play a farmingsimulation game even at gunpoint. I would not annoy those friends withpointless invitations.Facebook Games are very aggressive in their strategies to encourage you toobtain as many Neighbours as possible and Farmville is no exception. You cansend one Gift per day to any Facebook Friend, whether or not that individualis involved with Farmville. Accepting a Gift will make the person a part ofFarmville. Are there any reasons why an individual should not accept a Giftor invitation? I do not believe there are any negative effects whatsoever. The game will not contact you without your permission. If you find that youdo not care for it, you can ignore it forever.Accepting an Invitation to play and to become a Friend's Neighbour can benefityour Friend enormously even if you never play the game at all. Certainsignificant options are unlocked only if you possess a specific number ofNeighbours, are willing to invest real money in the game (or wait patientlyfor a long time while you increase your income through gameplay). Expandingyour Farm and obtaining a Dairy Barn for your Cows are two options thatrequire specific numbers of Neighbours. You can perform a kindness to anyFacebook Friend simply by agreeing to try Farmville and accepting your Friendas your Neighbour. When a player has Neighbours, he/she will be given the opportunity to visittheir farms daily to perform little tasks and reap rewards. It is fun to seehow other players have organised their Farms. Furthermore, when you are givena chance to feed a Neighbour's Chickens, you have the opportunity of finding aMystery Egg. Mystery Eggs can hatch into rare and valuable Chickens or giveyou XP or Coins. It is one of the most delightful rewards of visitingNeighbours. You may find a Mystery Egg if you have your own Chicken Coop andcollect the Eggs that your Chickens have laid, but the type of Mystery Eggthat can be generated is based on the varieties of Chickens that are living inthe Coop. The fact of the matter is that players who have high levels ofexperience are more likely to have rare Chickens in their Chicken Coops. Ittherefore is very much worth your while to visit all your Neighbours regularlyto feed their Chickens. As previously discussed, there are two requirements for the option to feed aNeighbour's Chickens.First of all, the Neighbour MUST have at least 5 tilled squares of land thathave not been fertilised as the first option that is generated by the game isthat of helping your Neighbour by fertilising five of his/her Crops. The gameaccepts an empty tilled square for this purpose so a good Neighbour alwaysshould till as many squares as possible, even if he/she does not have time toplant Seeds.Once you have fertilised five squares, the option to Feed the Chickens willappear, but only if your Neighbour has a Chicken Coop. I advise all playersto invest in a Chicken Coop as early as possible in the game so that they canparticipate in the Mystery Egg option and allow their Neighbours toparticipate. There are Level Requirements as well for every action to be performed on aNeighbour's Farm. For example, if a Neighbour has a Flower Stall filled withFlowers he/she is willing to 'Share', you will only obtain the option to takeFlowers if you have reached Level 12. If your Neighbour has a Market Stallwhere a specific Crop is being 'Shared', you will obtain the option to takethe Crop only if you have reached Level 15. Your own efforts to play the gametherefore will enhance your ability to benefit from your Neighbours' efforts.Sometimes, when you visit a Neighbour, you will be given a little task toperform even before you are asked to fertilise the Crops. The task can beperformed instantly and will result in a reward in the form of Coins. UnlikeAnimal Crossing, where you must pull up the Weeds on the land physically, oneby one, in Farmville, any request to weed your Neighbour's land or chase awayRaccoons is performed painlessly and instantly with a single click of themouse. Even if you have not obtained a specific Friend as a Neighbour in Farmville, the game will consider any Friend who has played Farmville as a potentialNeighbour and will give you the option to visit him/her in order to performthese tasks. If you are looking for Neighbours, you are ore likely to havesuccess in an invitation to some one who currently plays the game than someone who never explored it. When you have Neighbours, provided always that they are willing to 'share' and'publish' their Farmville accomplishments, you will be given a chance toobtain bonuses from them. The bonuses that you gain in this fashion usuallyare not large sums but every coin counts. Invitations Posted to a Facebook User's Wall You can invite a Friend to become your Neighbour in a couple of different ways. You can send the individual a Gift, which will alert the person to the factthat you are a player of Farmville. This is the least aggressive method. Thesecond is to send an invitation to become your Neighbour. The Invitation whensent in this fashion will go into the Friend's list of Requests. The most aggressive 'in your face' way of asking a Friend to become yourNeighbour is by allowing Farmville to post a Request on his/her Wall. Farmville periodically will choose Friends at random and give you a promptasking if you wish to post the Request to the person's Wall. Many peoplewould find such a Post rather annoying, even embarrassing. I would notrecommend it unless the Friend in question is very open about the games he/sheplays. There are quite a few Facebook users who play games but who wouldrather not advertise the fact! Lost Animals One of the better options shared by Neighbours is the ability to adopt 'LostAnimals'. While playing Farmville, the game may announce that a Lost Animalhas wandered onto your farm. You will not be able to adopt this Animalyourself, but you can post the information on your Wall to give your Friendsand Neighbours the option to adopt it. Lost Animals tend to be varieties thatyou cannot purchase at the Market. They include Llamas, Black Sheep, Ducksand odd varieties of ordinary Animals such as Groovy Cows and Party Ducks. You can collect Ranch Products from a Groovy Cow or Party Duck and a DairyBarn will house a Groovy Cow or Pink Cow as easily as it houses ordinary Cows. It therefore always is a good idea to adopt a Lost Animal when you see anopportunity to do so.There are a couple of Animals similar to the Lost Animals that have specificuses in terms of Breeding. These are the Bull and the Wandering Stallion. A Bull, like any Lost Animal will appear on a Farm with a prompt to help itfind a home by posting a message on your Wall. You cannot adopt the Bull whoappears on your own Farm, but must wait to see a notice on another player'sWall. You can adopt a Bull even if you do not have a Dairy Barn, but you will not beable to use him for breeding. It is only if you have a Dairy Barn for yourCows that you will be able to introduce a Bull and possibly obtain Calves whenyou 'harvest' the Barn. When you adopt a Bull, you will receive a prompt that is a hint as to futurerewards:You adopted the Bull! Special things will happen if you put him in the dairybarn. The Wandering Stallion is similar to the Bull in the effect that he can have onyour Horses but he is a transient visitor at best and cannot even visit yourFarm if you do not have a finished Stable. If you have a finished Stable, hewill spend the night at least and will leave a reward of some kind. It may bea Foal or it may be some Coins. Gift Exchanges Another significant benefit of having Neighbours, apart from the Lost Animalsthey advertise or the ability to help on their farms is the ability toexchange Gifts on a daily basis. Officially, one free Gift can be sent to anyFriend each day but the time period that must occur between Gifts usually ismore like three hours. When you choose this option, you will be taken to aspecial Menu that lists the items that can be sent as Gifts. Here, your ownLevel of experience will dictate the Gifts that have been unlocked. SomeGifts are more useful than others. If you wish to help a Friend who isstarting a farm, you probably should choose to send Animals or Fruit Treesrather than decorations. By accepting a Gift, a new player can obtain itemshe/she otherwise could not be eligible to have in terms of his/her own levelof experience.Mystery Gifts are an interesting option for advanced players in that they cancontain a wide variety of items, including XP, Farm Cash, Fuel or items thatcan be unlocked only at high levels of experience. When you receive a MysteryGift, you will find it in your Gift Box. Choose the 'Use' option, then dragit to the ground anywhere on your Farm. Click on it to open it in the samemanner in which you would open a Mystery Egg.Facebook Games generally are based on the concept of sharing and this is apositive social attribute. Even if the items are virtual rather than real, the idea of sending a Gift that a Friend may want or need for his/her farm isa method of outreach and communication. It may be partly selfish in that theGift always is accompanied by a message requesting a Gift in return, but evenso... Neighbour Requirements Two of the options in Farmville that are linked to the number of Neighbours youhave are the ability to expand your farm and the ability to purchase a DairyBarn. There are two options to purchase a Dairy Barn as follows:Dairy FarmCost: 20 FCHarvest in 1 dayXP Gain: 100Sell for 500 CoinsDairy FarmLocked8 Neighbours NeededXP Gain: 100Sell for 500 coins20 FC or Farm Cash is more difficult to obtain than 500 Coins. Each Level thatyou advance may be worth 1 FC but the primary method of obtaining Farm Cash isby purchasing it with real money. Coins and Farm Cash The values of Farm Cash and Coins in terms of U.S. currency are as follows:Farm Cash and Coins310 Cash costs $50.00240 Cash costs $40.00115 Cash costs $20.0055 Cash costs $10.0025 Cash costs $5.0070,600 Coins cost $40.0033,300 Coins cost $20.0015,800 Coins cost $10.007,500 Coins cost $5.005 Farm Cash therefore is worth $5.00 and 1500 Coins are the equivalent of 1Farm Cash. The actual prices of the Dairy Barn in both cases are equal butyou usually can earn 5000 Coins faster than you can earn even 1 FC. Ittherefore is to your benefit to obtain at least 8 Neighbours as quickly aspossible in order to be able to house your Cows. Cows take quite a lot ofspace on your Farm if you do not have a Barn for them, although you cancollect Milk from them individually in the same way that you can collect Eggsfrom Chickens individually. I do believe that the Mystery Egg option only isgenerated if you collect Eggs from a Chicken Coop but need to confirm that. Basic Farming Strategies Basic Farming Strategies in most of the Farming Simulation Games on Facebookare similar. Your primary goals are an increase in income and an increase inyour Experience levels.Experience Points in Farmville where Farming itself is concerned will amount to1 XP or 2 XP per Crop.Whenever you plough a new square of soil, you pay 15 Coins and earn 1 XP. Whenever you clear Withered Crops from any Square, you will pay +15 Coins andearn +1 Experience. Whenever you plant a Crop, you pay 10 Coins to do so, but will earn either 1 XPor 2 XP depending on the Crop itself.Whenever you harvest a Crop, you will earn NO XP but you will earn 1 Masterypoint for any Crop that can be Mastered as well as the selling value of theCrop. Whenever you purchase any Crop at the Market, the selling value, growthperiod, XP Gain and the Cost of the Seeds is given. The trick always is to organise your efforts to coincide with your real-lifeschedule. In console farming games like Harvest Moon, you can play your gamewhenever you wish and time will stand still during your absence. Onlinegames, especially those created for venues such as Facebook operate in realtime and require your attention in real time.Crops in Farmville, once they ripen and are ready for harvest will last only alimited time before withering. The grace period during which they will remainfresh on the vine as it were is equal to the growth period. In other words,Crops with brief growing periods will wither faster than those that take a fewdays to mature. If you plant a Crop that takes only 4 Hours to mature, youmust harvest it within four hours once it ripens. If you wish to make speedyprogress in Farmville, planting and harvesting Crops that take only a fewhours to ripen will raise your Levels fastest and give you quick profits butonly if you remember to harvest the Crops in time!As far as XP Gain is concerned, the Crops that take less than a day to matureusually only give 1 XP. There are a few exceptions, however, and those thatgive 2 XPThe Limited Edition Crop, Swiss Chard, for example, takes 14 hours to ripen butgives 2 XP. Ordinary Crops such as Peanuts that take 16 Hours to mature onlygive 1 XP. In fact, you will find that the benefit of growing LimitedEdition Crops often is the better XP value of these Crops. XP points can be obtained when a Neighbour 'shares' an Award or accomplishmenton his/her Wall. Installing the Zynga Toolbar allows you instant access tothe Game Feed that includes all of the messages about Farmville that arepublished by your Neighbours on their Walls. There are many glitches and problems with Farmville, however, and the Toolbar, which ought to give you instant access to your Game, any Bonuses you haveearned and the Game Feed, does not always function properly if at all! Nonetheless, the game is interesting enough to keep playing. Unwithering Crops If your Crops wither, there are a couple of ways in which to restore them. One is by purchasing 3 Unwithers for 30 Farm Cash from the Market. TheUnwithers are found in the Upgrade section of the Market Menu. For 30 Farm Cash, you can acquire 3 Unwithers, each of which will Unwither yourentire Farm or a Neighbour's entire Farm three times. For 30 Farm Cash, youcould buy a host of other Items that are far more useful, permanent andvaluable, so I do not recommend this investment at all!In fact, if you visit a Neighbour's Farm and find that ALL his/her Crops havewithered, the game often will offer you a FREE chance to Unwither all ofhis/her Crops. If, therefore, you planted a large quantity of valuable Cropsand somehow missed the deadline for harvesting them successfully, try topersuade a Neighbour to visit your Farm to see if he/she obtains the freeoption to restore your Crops to life. The default offer when you visit a Neighbour usually is to fertilise 5 Cropsand then to feed the Chickens in the Chicken Coop. When only some Crops havewithered on a Neighbour's Farm, you still will be able to fertilise the Cropsthat are growing currently so it is possible that the Unwither Option cannotbe triggered unless EVERY Crop has withered.. Limited Items Limited Items, including Seeds, are Limited in the time period during whichthey will be available for purchase. Where items such as Buildings,Decorations and Trees are concerned, you will have access to them foreveronce purchased. Crop Seeds, however, must be used immediately so you willneed to plant Limited Crops before they disappear from the Menu. LimitedItems can have specific Level Requirements as well. Free Gifts List Free Gifts may represent the arteries of the System where any Facebook game isconcerned as they are the conduit through which the makers of the game canpersuade players to advertise it to others. Free Gifts can include desirableitems that cannot be obtained by any other method, giving players anotherincentive to share their gaming experience with their Friends. There are two fundamental categories where Free Gifts are concerned. The firstare Gifts that appear according to a set cycle. These will be listed first inthe Gift Menu. They include Items for Limited Events/Contests such as theTuscan Wedding, Building Materials and Collectibles. The second category are items that always appear in the Gift Menu but areunlocked at specific Levels. The 'permanent' items, with their Categories, include:Party Pig (Animal)Magnolia Tree (Decoration)Whitewash Fence (Decoration)Hanging Flower (Decoration)Black Iron Fence (Decoration)Small Hill (Decoration)Surfboard (Decoration)Double Surfboards (Decoration)Brown Goose (Animal)Gulmohar Tree (Decoration)Yellow Maple Tree (Tree)Chicken (Animal)Cow (Animal)Sheep (Animal)Rabbit (Animal)Banana Tree (Tree)Tamarind Tree (Tree)Duck (Animal)Goat (Animal)Date Tree (Tree)Horse (Animal)Olive Tree (Tree)Mango Tree (Tree)Azaleas (Decoration)Ginkgo Tree (Tree)Floral Containers (Decoration)Mangrove Tree (Decoration)Dutch Rabbit (Animal)Jacaranda Tree (Decoration)White Apple Tree (IPhone Exclusive)Rainbow Barrel (IPhone Exclusive) Mystery Gifts A Mystery Gift is a Free Gift that, when opened on your Farm, will prove tocontain an Item that can range from Coins, to XP or rare Items that may or maynot be available in the Market.A Mystery Gift is a good option when sending a Free Gift to a player at ahigher level as he/she probably will have all the ordinary Items in the FreeGift List that would be most useful to a beginner, such as Ranch Animals andFruit Trees.Among other Items, Mystery Gifts can contain:1 Farm CashPinwheels (Decoration) Sell for 45 CoinsMandarin Tree (Fruit Tree)Breadfruit Tree (Fruit Tree)Bird Feeder (Decoration) Sell for 25 CoinsHot Air Balloon (Decoration) Sell for 0 CoinsGreenery (Decoration)Duck Topiary (Decoration) Resale Value of Gift, Reward and Lost Animals Lost Animals tend to be unique varieties of Animals. In some cases, they are asub-variety of an ordinary Animal, such as the Party Duck or the Groovy Cow. In other cases, they are unusual Animals such as Llamas. When you reach a new Level or win a Ribbon or Award, a Gift sometimes is placedin your Gift Box to celebrate the accomplishment. These items are linked tothe actual Level or Award, unlike the Lost Animals which are a random Event. The resale value of some of the Gifts, Rewards and Lost Animals are asfollows:Duck: 75 CoinsParty Duck: 75 CoinsLlama: 95 CoinsCow: 15 CoinsChicken: 20 CoinsSheep: 35Orange Tabby: 150 CoinsAnimals in Farmville fall into one of three general Categories. The firstcould be considered as Ranch Animals, but this Category would include ExoticAnimals and any species that yields a product or income regularly. The secondCategory is that of Pets, and this definition in Farmville includes only thoseAnimals who yield neither product nor income. Various breeds of Dogs tend tobe the only Animals in the Pet Category. Other Animals that would be Pets inthe real world, including Cats, should be defined in Farmville as RanchAnimals as a Cat yields a regular income whenever he/she is Brushed. Thethird Category would be Decorations. Although most Animals would not bedefined as Decorations, the Carrier Pigeons would fall into the third Categoryas, although alive and indeed more mobile than most other Animals as they willfly without being prompted to do so, they do not yield Product, nor are theyclassified by the game as Pets.Let me hasten to declare here that Farmville appears to be strictly vegetarianin nature, unlike some Facebook Farming Simulation Games that force a playerto fatten specific Animals for slaughter. If, therefore, a player is avegetarian, Vegan or Buddhist, he/she should have no moral qualms whereFarmville Farming is concerned.Ranch Animals, if they do not yield any specific Product, yield income throughthe act of interacting with them by Brushing them. Baby Animals, includingCalves and Colts, will not yield Product but do yield income if you Brushthem. Brushing follows a specific cycle in terms of time in the same fashionas any collection of Ranch Products. In the Animal List, I have included both the Yield of the Animal and the priceof the Animal if sold. Where very common Animals are concerned, the two oftenare equal, but in most cases, the value of the Animal itself is greater thanthe value of its Yield. Special Limited Editions are listed in a separateCategory, as they will not be available after the time period for theirEdition elapses. Housing for Animals There is a large selection of Buildings in Farmville. Some are LimitedEditions but others are listed without restrictions in terms of time. Buildings can be ornamental or have specific uses. In general, the Buildingscategorised as houses or homes are decorative in nature. Your Charactercannot interact with them except to move them or sell them.Other Buildings either are used for Farming, Animal Housing or Storage. Insome cases, ownership of a Building with a defined use will unlock new optionsin terms of gameplay. An early case in point is the Chicken Coop which allows the game to generateMystery Eggs randomly based on the types of Chickens that are housed within. It is for this reason that I advise players to purchase a Chicken Coop asearly as possible in the game. Dairy Barn Housing for Cows The Dairy Barn serves as housing for any Cow in Farmville. Moreover, it willhouse one Bull as well. Bulls will not appear on the Menu at the Market andare Lost Animals that must be claimed. If you place a Bull in your Dairy Barnwith your Cows, you can obtain valuable Bonuses, including Calves. The pricesof the Dairy Barn are given in another section of this Guide. You are limitedto one Bull per Barn. When you 'harvest' the Dairy Barn after a Bull has been introduced, you mayfind a Calf has been born. You will be alerted as follows:Congratulations! A Baby Calf is born! This little critter is already eager toexplore the world on its own. Ask your friends to help?If you agree to 'Share' the information, any one with access to your Wall canadopt the Calf. Calves cannot be housed in a Dairy Barn, but need their ownNursery Barn. Nursery Barn A Nursery Barn can house both Calves and Foals. If you do not have a NurseryBarn, any and all Calves and Foals that you own will be doomed to eternalchildhood and you will be doomed to brush each of them individually to collectany rewards.A Nursery Barn when purchased at the Market is a skeletal form, much like theStable. You will need the following Materials to complete the Nursery Barn:10 Bricks10 Boards10 Nails10 Bottles10 BlanketsAs with the Stable, there is no option to click on a button to 'Complete' theBarn instantly. You can purchase the Materials one by one, however, if youare impatient or receive them as Gifts from Neighbours if you can persuadeyourself to wait. Stable Housing for Horses StableUnlike the Chicken Coop and Dairy Barn, a Stable when purchased is unfinished. You are obliged to purchase the skeletal outline of the Building and then tocollect the Materials necessary to complete it. There is no option to'Complete' the Stable instantly by purchasing all required Materials at once, but you can purchase them one by one if you wish. Most players prefer toobtain the Materials as Gifts from their Neighbours. The price of the Horse Stable (unfinished) is:Horse Stable5000 CoinsThe Materials required to complete the Horse Stable are:10 Bricks10 Harnesses10 Horseshoes10 Nails10 Wooden BoardsEach of these Items costs 1 Farm Cash, which means that, should you choose the'Complete' Option to finish the Barn immediately by purchasing all Materialsfrom Farmville, the total Cost for Materials would be:50 Farm CashNote that the Option to Complete the Barn will be available until you havecollected all Materials, which means that you can choose to activate it at anypoint. The primary reason to own a finished Stable is in order to be able to collectthe wandering Stallion. As with the Bulls, the Stallion is a random 'LostAnimal' generated by Farmville, but unlike the Bull who can be kept outside ifyou do not own a Dairy Barn, you will not be able to place the Stallion if youdo not have a finished Stable. As a matter of fact, you will not be allowedto 'Help' the Stallion by bringing it to your Farm unless you have a completedStable. If you have an unfinished Stable, the game may offer to give you someMaterials, but I never actually received any.Even if you do have a Stable, the Stalliion will move on after a few days towander towards other fertile fields. He is unique in this respect.Farmville's Description of the Stable is:If you have given the Wandering Stallion shelter for the night (or if you havea stallion in your stable), there is a chance your horses will produce a foal.Having more horses of a particular type means a higher chance of finding a foalof that type! You also have a chance of finding a useful item when you tend to your stablesso make sure to check every day! Storage Buildings Barns, if not described for a specific purpose, tend to be Storage Buildings. Very often, Limited Edition Barns will be offered as part of a Theme. TheJapanese Barn is one such Storage Building.Japanese BarnLimitedTime Left: 9 DaysCost: 5000 Coins unfinishedXP Gain: 50Sell for 250 CoinsJapanese BarnLimitedTime Left: 9 DaysCost: 50 Farm CashCapacity: 20 itemsSell for 6000 CoinsGame Description of Bamboo:Bamboo is used to build a Japanese Barn. You need a total of 10 Bamboo inorder to build a Japanese Barn, along with 10 of each of the other components. You can get Bamboo as gifts or from the Market. Reed Thatch is used to builda Japanese Barn. You need a total of 10 Reed Thatch in order to build aJapanese Barn, along with 10 of each of the other components. The complete list of items for the Japanese Barn are as follows:10 Bricks10 Reed Thatch10 Bamboo10 Nails10 Wooden BoardsThe 'other components' are basic Construction Materials that are used for anybuilding project. If you are involved in the construction of more than oneBuilding, whenever you receive any item that is a basic component, you willhave a choice as to where to apply it.If you wish to learn how close you are to completion, click on the Barn andchoose: 'look inside'. A Menu will appear, showing how many of each item youhave collected with options to buy or ask for more from friends. The lastoption in the menu for the Japanese Barn allows you to 'Complete Now' bypurchasing all remaining items required outright. This option does not existwith respect to a Nursery Barn or Stable, although you can purchase each Itemrequired one by one. Each of these Items costs 1 Farm Cash, which means that, should you choose the'Complete' Option to finish the Barn immediately by purchasing all Materialsfrom Farmville, the total Cost for Materials would be:50 Farm CashNote that the Option to Complete the Barn will be available until you havecollected all Materials, which means that you can choose to activate it at anypoint. New Options at Level 10 At Level 10, you will receive some new options to make Farmville moreinteresting. One of these is Crop Mastery and the other is Collections. Here is the description in the prompt that you will receive when you reachLevel 10:You've just unlocked Crop Mastery! Now Harvesting a Crop will earn you a pointtowards that crop's mastery level.Master each of a crop's 3 levels for a special bonus! You can now find Collectibles while plowing, harvesting, fertilising, andgifting. Find all the collectibles in a SET and turn it in for a reward! Collections At Level 10, the Menu Box that displays the Icon of a Blue Ribbon will offertwo different Menus. The first will be the Award/Ribbons Menu and thesecond will be the Collections Menu. The Game information about Collections states that:Find collectibles while Ploughing, Harvesting Trees and Animals and FertilisingFriends' Crops. Get Hints for where to find each collectible by mousing overits icon! If you are lucky enough to find a Rare or Uncommon Collectible, you can shareit with your friends! Some collectibles can only be found from Gifts sent from your friends. Checkback every day for new giftable collectibles! When you find all Collectibles in a Set, you can turn it in for a reward of XP,Coins and Fuel!Collections are divided into a number of different Sets. Each Set consists of6 Items. Whenever you find an Item, you can publish the news to allow threeof your Friends to 'collect' the same Item from your Wall. Whenever youcomplete a Collection Set, you will receive a Bonus and if you publish thenews, your Friends can receive a Bonus as well. The Collection Sets are asfollows:Gardening Tools CollectionCountry Kitcsh CollectionButton CollectionBugs CollectionButterfly CollectionFeather CollectionItems in Collections tend to be linked to specific activities, based on fairlylogical 'real' considerations. Bugs, for example, tend to be found when youharvest Fruit from Trees. Crop Mastery Crop Mastery is based on the number of Crops that you harvest. In some cases, you must achieve Mastery of a specific Crop in order to unlock a Crop at ahigher Level. One Mastery Point towards a specific Crop is obtained whenever you harvest thatCrop. You can increase the number of points by 'using' a Bushel from yourMarket Stall. See the section that deals with Market Stalls for details. The Farmer's Market At some point in the early stages of your game, you may see the icon of aBushel of the Crop you are harvesting float across your screen. When youreach Level 15 and this occurs, the game will prompt you to purchase a MarketStall. Without knowing what the purpose of this item is, you may ignore theprompt. In fact, the Market Stall option is quite interesting and it can be profitableboth in terms of income and experience.A Market Stall can be purchased either with Coins or with Farm Cash. The prices of a Market Stall are as follows:Market Stall:50,000 CoinsMarket Stall20 Farm Cash The Farmer's Market You will not be able to purchase your own Market Stall until you reach Level15, nor will you be able to accept Bushels from other players until then.Once you purchase a Market Stall, you can access the Farmer's Market throughthe Stall itself. The little tutorial that can be accessed at the Market Stall gives thefollowing information:Each time you harvest a crop, you might find a bushel of that crop. When youfind them, you get extra bushels for crop mastery! Crop bushes are used tospeed up your mastery or XP progress, to unlock seeds that you can't yet buyin the market and to craft items in your Crafting Cottage. Coming soon!Bushels you find are stored in your Market Stall. You can spend your bushels toboost your productivity on the farm! First click your Market Stall and selectFarmer's Market, then click the 'My Bushels' Button, and then click the 'Use'button under the Bushel. When you harvest a bushel, your market stall is set to sell those bushels for24 hours. If you've mastered the crop, your stall will stay open longer. Ifyou're already selling the crop, finding another Bushel will keep your stallopen longer, too. From your own Market Stall, you can see the Bushels your friends are offering. You can take up to 3 bushels from each friend. Just click the 'Get Bushels'button and start shopping! In order to 'Use' the Bushel, you need to be growing the specific Crop and itneeds to be ready for Harvest within two hours. Otherwise, there will be noeffect whatsoeverMarket Stalls are used both to store Bushels of specific Crops and to offerthem to visiting Neighbours. If any Neighbour takes Bushels from your Stall, you will be rewarded. You can choose the form your Reward takes. You will beoffered 10 XP, 4000 Coins or 15 Fuel. (?) Whenever you harvest a Bushel of aspecific Crop, it automatically will go into your Market Stall and the Stallwill open for business for 24 hours. There are ways to extend the time thatthe Stall remains open, but 24 hours is the normal time period. Whenever you click on your Market Stall, you will have an option to access theFarmer's Market. Here you will be given the opportunity to see all theBushels that your neighbours currently are offering. You can take threeBushels of any specific Crop from a Neighbour's Stall. These Bushels can be used or shared with Neighbours. If you opt to 'Use' aBushel that you have collected, you need to be able to harvest the same Cropon your own Farm within two hours in order to gain the benefit which is anincrease in the Experience earned from the act of Harvesting that Crop. Forexample, if you choose to 'Use' a Bushel of Rice, you need to have Rice thatwill ripen within the next two hours and be able to harvest it before the timelimit expires. Rice ordinarily gives +1 XP. If a Bushel of Rice is in use, however, each Rice square that you harvest will give you +2 XP.Only one Bushel can be in use at any given point in time. If you have Bushelsfor more than one Crop that is ready to be harvested, you can use thecorresponding Bushels sequentially. If you have not reached Level 15 and attempt to collect a Bushel from aFriend's Wall, you will receive the following prompt:Sorry! You need to get to Level 15 before you can visit a Farmer's Market andcollect bushels! Would you like 20 XP from Farmville to help you on your way?You therefore can claim a little reward of 20 XP even if you cannot collect theBushel posted on a Neighbour's or Friend's Wall. Garden Shed The Garden Shed gives you the opportunity to save Flowers that you harvest touse as Decorations on your own land. If you love beautiful Flowers, you willenjoy this option tremendously. Unfortunately, the price is steep unless youhave 10 Neighbours. There are no Level Requirements for purchase of a GardenShed, incidentally. The Garden Shed is described as follows:Garden Sheds save Perfect Bunches hat you find while harvesting flowers. Usethem to make decorative flower bouquets to put around your farm or share withfriends! Your first Garden Shed comes with 10 rare bouquets as a specialpurchase gift! The Garden Shed is a Building Item with two separate listings and prices:Garden Shed10 Neighbours NeededGarden Shed30 Farm Cash The Co-Op Option The Co-Op Job is another advanced Option unlocked at Level 20. The third boxat the lower left corner of your screen will change from the Delete Tool toCo-Op Farming. From the game itself, here is the Co-Op Guide:Co-Op GuideA job is a task that involved seeding and harvesting a number of the specifiedcrop within the time frame stated in the job. Health Insurers Tweak Websites, Open Retail Locations For Consumers

Nan Cohen saw the e-mail on June 26: Her daughter Elyssa Wenkert's health insurance coverage under her father's policy was set to expire in four days.

Elyssa turned 18 earlier in the month.

"You don't think of things like what do you do when you don't have insurance coverage until it's upfront and personal," said Cohen of O'Hara.

She called Highmark Inc.'s insurance store in Ross and spoke with customer service rep Lee Conrad. She knew Conrad from a year ago, when she and her husband purchased individual health insurance policies at the Highmark Direct store, which recently had opened.

"I knew we would get coverage for Elyssa, but I was worried about the timing. Could we get the coverage in force before July 1," Cohen said last week. "We came in on Wednesday (June 30). Lee sat down with us and we got a policy."

Cohen is one of more than 25,000 people who have visited Highmark Direct stores since they opened 15 months ago in Ross and in Harrisburg.

"We took a calculated risk in placing stores," said Matt Fidler, Highmark's consumerism and retail marketing director. The state's largest health insurance company wasn't sure there would be enough customer demand to make the stores worth the effort, he said.

But trends in health care insurance dictated the move. Decisions were increasingly were being pushed onto individuals a situation that became even more pronounced during the recession, when millions nationwide who lost their jobs lost employer-provided health care coverage.

Selling health insurance in a retail setting where customers can examine their choices, like they shop for clothes or groceries gets the Highmark brand directly in front of consumers, experts said.

More insurance carriers are beefing up websites, opening retail locations, and even making their written communications more user-friendly. They are preparing to compete for millions of new customers starting in 2014 because of health care reform. Health insurers will be banned from refusing coverage to people with pre-existing conditions or charging them exorbitant rates and for the first time, individuals will be required to have health insurance or face a financial penalty.

Under the new health care reform law signed by President Obama in March, by 2019 about 24 million Americans will obtain health insurance by buying private coverage in regulated marketplaces called exchanges, according to estimates from the Congressional Budget Office.

"Storefronts were bubbling up before health care reform, but with reform, between now and 2014, insurers are trying to grab as much brand loyalty as possible," said Kathleen Stoll, health policy director at Families USA, in Washington.

Stoll said when the health care changes come, insurers believe customers will sign with companies they know rather than those they don't know. But all insurers aren't opening stores.

"We have not opened any retail locations, and I am not aware of any plans to do so," said Walt Cherniak Jr., spokesman for health insurer Aetna Inc.

With 25,000 visitors at two stores in 15 months, Highmark considers them a success, Fidler said. Consumers visit the locations to get insurance questions answered and, in many cases, to purchase individual and small-business health insurance policies. The company won't disclose how many policies have been sold in its stores.

By late September, Highmark will open three new locations in Western Pennsylvania and another Harrisburg-area store. The new Highmark Direct stores will be at 4008 William Penn Highway, Monroeville; in the Lafayette Plaza Shopping Center at 218 Summit Park Drive, North Fayette; and in Norman Center II, 1775 N. Highland Road, Upper St. Clair.

"Person-to-person assistance really works," said Nan Cohen. "On the phone, can you spend six hours asking questions and being placed on hold?"

Highmark's Fidler said store staff "can take 30 to 60 minutes per person to explain the intricacies of health insurance. We're really only limited by the customer."

The Highmark Direct stores have a self-service information areas with computers customers can use, equipment to collect simple health measurements, plus classrooms and meeting rooms where people can ask questions and work with staff on coverage or billing problems. The stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and are staffed by Highmark employees who don't work on commission.

"I needed six months of health insurance coverage before I was eligible for Medicare," said Sally Bosserman, of Franklin Park. "Someone told me about the store, so I went down and found the people very helpful. It was just so nice to be able to talk to a face, instead of push this and push that using a telephone."

Consumers Union Senior Health Policy Analyst Steven Findlay said there are pluses and minuses with health insurers selling insurance from storefronts.

"On the downside, bricks-and-mortar locations don't allow consumers to comparison shop, because they generally are selling just one company's products," Findlay said.

"On the upside, Americans continue to have great difficulty in understanding the intricacies of health insurance, and these stores allow customers to come in, sit down and speak with a real person."

Highmark wasn't the first Blue Cross member company to open a health insurance store.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield Florida Inc. in Jacksonville opened its first retail location in 2007 and in January, opened its fourth store. BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina opened its only retail outlet in January 2009.

"We've had a few thousand customers since the store opened in January 2009, and we consider it to be a success," said Elizabeth Hammond, spokeswoman for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina in Columbia.

"About 10 percent are people with existing policies who have questions and are assisted by our people. The rest are primarily individuals looking for individual insurance, and they are served by independent insurance agents who work out of our store."
